About Us

About Spring Valley Retirement Community

Spring Valley was developed by the Dallas County Hospital to serve the area’s senior population. The building is owned by a separate non-profit entity, and governed by a local Board of Directors.

Opened in 2001, Spring Valley contains 38 assisted living apartments, and is professionally operated by Newbury Management Company , an Iowa-based firm. Spring Valley’s assisted living program is licensed by the state of Iowa, and has been recognized by the State of Iowa Department of Inspections & Appeals for “violation-free” surveys in its last two biennial monitoring visits.

Our mission is to provide a safe and secure residence for mature adults in a style that promotes independence, health, physical, spiritual and mental well-being. Health care services are designed to maintain wellness and independent functioning to the level desired by each individual. Our goals include promoting autonomy, safety and quality of life to the highest degree possible.

Medical Services

Second floor secured access corridor connects to Dallas County Hospital, Spring Valley parking garage and storage areas.

Staff Availability

24-hour staffing is available to meet scheduled and unscheduled health care needs.
